Three days After Our Holiday

The washing machine has been going ever since we got back from our cruise. Whoever allowed 95 Kilo's per person of luggage needs to come here and see the consequences. Life is slowly getting back to normal, except that the kids are off school until Monday and Olivia wants all her clothes ironed and in her wardrobe ASAP... yeah right.

I was cooking a joint of pork loin last night, Olivia and her friend Beth came home, she announced that she was staying at Beth's overnight and was going as soon as we had had our tea. Beth was going to wait for her. I suggested that Beth stay here for tea as I had cooked plenty to go around. Olivia duly whispered this to Beth then Beth and Olivia came into the kitchen. "What are we having for tea Dad" Olivia asked. I told her and then Beth asked "Will it be easy to chew!" The look of astonishment on my face must have been a picture, my eye brows have not risen that high since the last time I was astonished. They both must have sensed my amazement as they both piped up at the same time that the reason for the question was because Beth had just had her Train Track Braces fitted and she needs to be careful what she eats for a few days! The whole kitchen burst into laughter and Olivia and Beth were flush red. I did my best to serve juicy chewable pork for Beth and made a point of embarrassing her a few more times before they both went on their way.
